We love a pumpkin spice candle as much as anyone—but fall coziness doesn’t have to come in a jar with a wick. A few clever cleaning tricks can leave your whole home smelling like an autumn day (and bonus: it looks effortless).
Essential oils everywhere – Cinnamon, clove, orange, or cedarwood. Drop a little in your mop bucket to scent the whole house, dab a few drops on the windowsill so the breeze carries it through, or mix with water for a DIY room spray.
Simmer pot season – Toss apple slices, orange peels, cinnamon sticks, and cloves in a pot of water and let it simmer. Your kitchen becomes a fall-scented spa and the steam fights off that dry autumn air.
Clean & cozy hacks – Sprinkle pumpkin spice into baking soda and shake it over carpets before vacuuming. Add a drop of oil to your vacuum filter or dryer cotton balls for a fresh scent trail.
Who needs 12 different candles when your whole house smells like you just baked pie and cleaned at the same time?
